Gina Foresta is a writer, editor and content coordinator whose work explores sustainability, travel, local food culture, social justice and a creative life. Her writing has appeared in both print and digital publications, where she brings a thoughtful, narrative approach to stories rooted in community and craft. 

A native of North Carolina, where she earned a degree in journalism and mass communication, Gina spent a decade working in advertising in Chicago, IL before relocating to Virginia, where she raised her two children.

Outside of writing, Gina works with her hands as a ceramicist and printmaker. She discovered ceramics six years ago and quickly found that clay offered a new medium with which she could express her love of nature and everyday beauty. Her specialty is creating custom pet portraits with the sgraffito carving technique, preserving images of beloved dogs and cats in ceramic art.
